unbelievable
Heheheh, we done it ... AGAIN ... Be an interesting other Semi now, and an even more interesting Final.
I wasn't, but I'm proud to say I'm an Englishman and I've been flying the flag in support of them since Day 1.
I'll happily fund the rejoicing... right ATM I'm thinking about the lost hopes of Mr Sarkozy and his gang Funny how the the TF1 channel (aka Tele-Sarkozy) didn't show them at all this time, must be because he's having a fit of chin and shoulder shaking. All the best for the next game... and remember, the French got rid of the All-Blacks for you...
Yeah. We were pityful, made too many fouls. Nevertheless, your Wilkinson guy is a devil, and it's a well deserved victory ! Congratulations, whish the best for the final !
Sucking his keyboard for inspiration, Xavier typed: And England too. I think it's a bit of a shame when matches are decided on which side gave away the fewest penalties. FWIW, I thought the French came back at England very well, and the match was a nail-biter. I was out last night, and spent the evening with my fingers in my ears, then watched it when I got back home. The guy was clearly off-form, but he can still do the business when it matters. How nice to hear you say that. Pity some of the "home" nations don't have the same generous attitude.
England weren't much better. The only reason that they were slightly better was because they won. Ta.
Sucking his keyboard for inspiration, Cab typed: Being English, but living in Wales and married to a Welsh lady, Rugby is a bit of a contentious issue in my life. We have an arrangement that we always support the other's team against anyone else. When Wales play England, well, that's what separate televisions are for. Seriously, though, I've never "got" the tribal element of sport. It's a fucking *game*, FGS. (Cue Matt Busby quotes, etc).
It wasn't an accident of birth. Mum and Dad had a choice where we were born, Dad was in RAF, based in Europe and chose to come back to England for our births. I also don't think I'm being foolish at all, either, just patriotic. I'm proud of what Englishmen (we) have achieved. If you're not, that's your choice and one which, unlike you, I won't denigrate 'cos that's it, a personal choice we can all make.
