I think it's also a lovely looking bike in a SOJ way. I'm sure it's fine for
a Sunday occasional if you happen to know a good dentist.

Lozzo was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Nice one mate :). Prescient, those Japanese folks...

See you tomorrow if I can make it to the shoppe by nine. Got to be at
work by half eleven so it should just about work out.

I stripped and rebuilt the carbs on one of those in exchange for free pizza
for a week from a chef at the San Raphael Marina Pizzeria :)

Nice bike for bozzing up and down the prom on.

LoL. The one I rode was shite. All those whirring chains inside. Brakes
were crap too. Handling was piggin' horrible. Can't think of many
    redeeming features really.

Oh, one. It's the only bike I've managed to do a 360 degree pirouette on
    and stay aboard ;-)

Borrocks. Stick a Triumph badge on it and you'd love it.

Actually, stick a Triumph badge on it and you'd be hard pushed to tell
    the difference.

  10. What part of "very very low reserve" and "1800 quid, reserve not met" am I
    missing?

Yes.They run a bit nicer if you put a bit of Millers VSP in too, but it's
not a problem if you don't bother.

They don't vibrate too badly, cos I think they had a chain driven balancer
shaft. SWK will be along to tell me I'm spouting bollocks tho'. ;-)

  17. Presumably to install the "very verylow (sic) reserve". Which I suspect
might be that thing on the sissy bar.

I've been wondering about an alternative touring type bike in case the
wracked spine continues to plague me (1). What is the newer California like?
they seem to go for very reasonable money, like £3kish for a 2000. I like
the look of the engine (natch), the wire wheels and the brembo brakes.

I would hope that any engine restrictions could be quickly rectified to
    lemon spec.

How far back does one have to go to avoid excessive elictrickery like
    injection.

    (1) K's don't fit me any more and I hate the gearing

  20. Nah, that's just minging ( the tart's not too bad, though). The one I'm
thinking of was actually liguid cooled and might have been a V. Bit of
rubbishy chrome hanging off of it and the obligatory cruiser-style bars
    on it.
