Oh will you just BUY A FUCKING BIKE FOR FUCKING ****'S SAKE?!!
They're ALL good and the degree to which some are gooder and some are less
good really matters far far less than you seem to think!
Posts ride reports not endless "what's this one like?" questions!
    Sheesh!

Actually i already own two very desireable machines.
A classic European lightweight (MZ) and a Madras Enfeield.
So you can go and ROOT YOUR BOOT.

    A man with taste!

I saw the Infamous MZ pottering around Adelaide, its owner is still
happy with it after buying it from me what... 12 years ago?

I admit to getting[2] old and wimpish, so don't really miss a kickstart
only bike as a daily ride, but it seldom refused its duty so I really
    can't complain.

I did ponder an Enfield as a commuter, given they have electric legs
now. But I decided to go full wimp and bought an automatic scooter[3].
Had that particular scooter not turned up at that time, a Bullet might
well have appeared in the shed. I might have scored the poverty pack
demo bike for a good price after all[4]!

If you like the MZ and the Bullet, then pretty well any modern sportbike
will be so different that it will take a long time to see any difference
    between them. If I was you I wouldn't bother with a 4, get a twin or a
triple, choose it for comfort - how the riding position fits you. The
performance of all modern bikes is close enough that only serious track
hounds really notice huge dealbreaking differences between bikes of the
same class. So pick the one which feels best sitting on it, and whose
    colour scheme you can stand.

If I was given a new japanese sportbike I'd probably choose the most
expensive then sell it and buy something twin cylindered and Italian,
but then I'm into Italian bikes.

With a soft spot for agricultural German 2 strokes of course.

[1]And you lot who saying "yes, bad" can go and price some fairing
    panels!
[2] alright, continuing to be old and wimpish.
[3] now with more Malossi bits! With luck I'll pick it up tomorrow and
see how the worked top end fits with the new gearing.
[4] although I dunno I could have forgone the whole chrome tank and
hand-painted pinstripes full on Britbike look.

I saw one of those getting about Adelaide for a while. Didn't think it
    was sidevalve though.

Probably not. a fellow in Sydney was selling a SV a month or so ago
but it was a private import.
He said it had a top speed of 80 KPH mainly because of the gearing.

The top-of-the-range model had OHV. (From my memory of a fairly dodgy
    Chinglish website)
