However, if it needs excercising between now and March, I believe I
    Not really.
Its just that I don't have anything that comes close to winter clothing.

it was only a 10 mile jaunt in traffic, and I was too busy hanging on for
dear life to fully comprehend what was happening.

Bugger, that had me wondering where me thermals were and thinking how
plausable I could make it sound when I canceled the appointment with
    the Bank Manager.

    Back to snooze mode.

I am - and I have the gear too.

If you want it riding (or even trailering) I may be able to help - my
email address in my headers is valid.

Thanks for the offer. Don't tell anyone I said it, but you're really not a
    bad bunch around here.

I'll be fine, how cold can you get in 75miles?

    bwahahahahahahaha!

If the weather's anything like yesterday *fucking cold*.

    Seriously, you'll need to wrap up. You definitely need decent gloves;
it's almost worth buying cheap bar muffs for the day...

Not factory fitted, but sounds like you've got an aftermarket one. Be
worth finding out what it is, so's it's easier to remove when it
    breaks.
It's a doddle. Seriously, the amount of grip available, even in the
wet, is phenomenal. You'd have to be seriously clumsy with the
throttle hand to get into any serious trouble. Of course, if you're a
real twonk you may do so, but you would have done on the 6R anyway,
I'd reckon, so you must be past that stage.
Big wheelies are much easier on somebody else's.

Why March, anyway? Keep an eye on the roads and there's probably good,
dry, riding to be had about 25% of winter weekends, even if you are a
    fair-weather wuss.

Cold enough to be very ill.

    wear *lots* of thin layers.

  15. Bloody cold.

Wear every single item of clothing you own.

And then stick a fleece on top.

Pfah. Jim, you mustn't listen to all these wusses. Even in just a
couple of layers and medium-weight leathers & gloves, in 75miles at
say, 80mph, your core body temperature will hardly have dropped at
all. It's more than likely that even the extremities will still have
some feeling left in them, unless your gloves are very very thin, and
the chances of developing frostbite are frankly miniscule.

Kids these days. Don't know the're born...
