    Slider says...
MCN reckon that if you swop the can it'll upset the handling. Something
to do with weight distribution being upset.

    What utter bollocks.

    Is much much better.

Despite a similar name and being in Aus, they knock the spots off MCN in
    terms of bike coverage.

And this is a very nice colourscheme for a different 2005 model :

That can is awful, and the indicators in the mirrors don't do anything
    for me either.

Also, why have an LED rear light, but normal bulb indicators? I can
understand the headlights being bulbs (white LEDs not bright
enough/cheap enough yet/easy enough to focus?), but if you're going to
do the brake light they might as well do the indicators too.

It kind of grows on you. I've gone from not liking it to being OK with
it. Hell if it works then who am I to complain.

The can looks a sensible shape from an impact resistance POV.

I'm no safety Nazi but the rider should at least wear some jeans though.

I can't really see the arse in that pic. Nice legs, though.

A bit like the Z1R, which at the time looked so different it was just
wierd, but now is virtually indistinguishable from other Z1000
    variants of the time.

Indeed, and it still doesn't look dated 20 years later.

It's a "classic design", yes. That doesn't make it good looking.

It looked dated before it even left the factory.

I'd say more timeless than dated. It certainly wears its age better than
say an XS11 or a Unitrack GPZ.
