    Anyone know . . . . .

There are two coils on this GS550 with two leads from each.
    What pots do the leads feed? - i.e. 1&2 and 3&4, 1&3 and 2&4 or 1&4 and
    2&3.

This would save me having to drive down to the fella's house to sort it
    out for him.

    Cheers

    I know this isn't for a GS550 but the Kawasaki Turbo are R/H coil 1&4 L/H
coil 2&3. Can't see it being different on the Suzuki.

I'd check mine, but I am 7 time zones away from it :)

  5. It's *always* 1&4 and 2&3, due to firing orders. Try it like that with
1&4 on the r/h coil ( as sweller suggests) and 2&3 on the other. If that
    doesn't work (it should), swap.

    In message
I'd guessed it would probably be the two outer and two inner pots
(firing order 1,3,4,2) and that's what he was supposed to be doing but
had no joy. I'll get him to persevere a little longer before I drag
myself down to sort it out.

    Thanks
