A few quick snap shots from the local toy run, run by the combined
    motorcycle clubs of Bendigo.

Unlike a certain larger city southwards of here, they actually cooperate
    well ;-)

It's a toy run from a meeting point to a destination for the purpose of
delivering toys, not a ride through the hills, and has never pretended to
be. I have no problem with the distance the ride takes, traditionally it has
never been longer than a couple of km anyhow. My only problem with last
year's ride was that it took back streets from the start to the finish so
there was no spectacle of a parade of bikes down a city street, which was very
disappointing, and really defeated the purpose... compared to a decade ago
when the run went straight up Swanston St to the top of the city and was quite
a sight to behold. We might as well have just left our bikes on the St Kilda
Rd service lane and walked up to Federation Square from the assembly point to
deliver the gifts. Should be better this year, if it's going to the park in
Williamstown. Had a very nice afternoon down there last year after leaving
Federation Square. Unfortunately this year I have to work.
