    Ouch!!!
    Guess that's why they're called "hand"lebars and "foot"pegs.
That fella at the MSF wasn't lying when he said to wear ankle supporting
boots. OK gotta stop. That gave me the shivers!

Idiot deserves every inch of that naked bone.
Sneakers, jeans and a tshirt while performing dumb shit on a
street bike. Too bad Darwin didn't go all the way...

  5. Glad that you and all those you care about have never
and will never do anything stupid. (Except maybe posting
    about Darwin).

Nope, never anything that approached this level of stupidity.
    Thanks for asking though.

  7. Good for you, 'cause if there's one thing that makes me want
to puke, it's sanctimonious assholes who prattle on about
who does or doesn't deserve the crap that happens to them.

Glad you're not one of them.

Yah. I agree. There are some people who think that since I ride (and
    I am such
a pussy, slow rider) if I wind up in a wheel chair I deserve it. A
    couple of them
had the brass cojones to say it to me. I replied: Well, if you wind up
    with a triple
by-pass 'cuz all you do it eat, sleep and sit - you deserve that! (OK.
    I was
a bit irked at the time .. but the point being we're all damned if we do
    and damned
    if we don't ... )

  9. IMNSHO it's better to live a long and happy life. 8^) Dying in your
20s in a motorcycle accident is not proof that you led a happy,
    fulfilled life.

Also, getting killed quickly and cleanly is not the worst thing that
can happen to you on a bike. You can get mangled pretty badly and
have to spend the next 50 years walking funny or missing a leg or
whatever. I bet we all know at least one case.
To each his own. 8^) I'd rather stick around a little longer and
    maybe have more fun.

That is my plan. I admire those old time bikers and want to live to
    become one of them!

    Me too :)
Losing a leg doesn't have to end the fun.

Worse things can happen, like what happen to my friend Larry.

    http://www.lrrsracing.com/larry_hanlon.htm

It took him about a year to get the use of his hands back. He's
currently working on getting a racing sidecar rig set up with hand
controls so he can go racing again. I have agreed to be his passenger.

I'll take option C, Bop till you drop.

It's my rig and I can drive it, but I have more fun as monkey :)

Last weekend I was at a rock concert and went croud surfing for the
    first time.

No, that's not me taking the dive, but I did get up there a few times
like the chick, and came down ok. Scratch one more thing off my list
of things to do before I die :) Cooming soon, skydiving!

  12. I was going to say that! And I'd like to ride for a good many years
yet. Hell, I've even got the same bike I had 25 years ago!

  13. That's pretty amazing. It's inspirational and faith-affirming,
conquering adversity, making the best of a bad situation and all that.
But I'd rather keep my legs in the first place if it's all the same to
    you. 8^)

Never felt the need to go through contortions just to put a knee down.
Besides, it's more fun to put a shoulder down.

    http://users.adelphia.net/~kowfeathers/passing.JPG

Yeah, that's me in back. The further you hike out the faster you can
go through the turns. We are about to pass the rig ahead like it was
    parked :)

This one ought to make you feel more at home, being wet and all.

    http://users.adelphia.net/~kowfeathers/Pic1.jpg

It was taken during my first race as a passenger, with a driver I had
just met that day. It got a bit squirrly going through the puddle, but
I didn't figure the driver would do anything stupid since he was on the
    rig too.

I don't always get to lay down on the job. This pic was taken in a
    series of S turns.

By pulling in before finishing the right turn it lets the chair come up
and help me over to the other side. You can see the hand holds I will
be moving to behind the driver.
Testicles are not required. About half the passengers are women. Here
    are some gutsy girls.

That last girl is also a doctor.

While looking through pics of this year's event I found one that had me
in it. Can you guess which one is me? ;)
