Some don't like to ride very far with more than three motorcycles along.
I don't mind a fairly short weekend trip, with 8, or 10, others, but
going on a excursion type trip, I like, maybe 2 Riders along. The Ideal
situation is one other 2up couple. We thoughly enjoy going on a fairly
long trip with our daughter & husband.
When there's a lotta riders, there's always, someone needing to stop on
an unplanned stop, & more(wink). The mere decision of where to eat,
constitutes frustation, if you are not careful, eh!
BUt when we go to Hot Springs 125 miles, and or Jefferson, 75 miles, It
is really fun when theres a pack of us. I like riding last to observe
the bikes going into the curves up in single files, ahead.

    is the big one.

I have the peg lowering kit, brake lever lowering kit and the shift
lever lowering kit from Monika Verholen in the Fatherland.
http://www.verholen.de/ (link for english is on the lower right PAge)
    http://www.bmwrt.com/faq/pegrests.htm
They ship to the USA. Everything lines up nicely, excellent machining.
You get what you pay for. I don't know if they make the shift/brake
lever lowering kits anymore, you may want to email and ask them. MV
makes floorboards for the 1200C only, Ilium makes them for the other
models. If you can find the MV brake/shift lever lowering kits that
might help with the Ilium boards. Mine setup is wunnerful with the pegs
and i use the pegs actively when i ride.

imo, floorboards while supposedly comfortable aren't for sportbikes if
you use any weighting techniques (feet/knees) in your riding. I was
never that knocked out with the floorboards on the HD FLHRCI. I do have
a set of adjustable forward pegs on the RT.

‘‘Damn, I have to bring my FLHT to the shop, I got screwed. Mine
does not vibrate anymore then a metric bike.
It should be covered under warranty I hope. Or maybe its an after market
part - the vibration I mean?’’ Morgan

‘‘Morgan, so you owned a metric before that ole Harley, unnHuh?
Say, do you like riding with a Bunch down the byways of Texas? I take
you to be the point rider, when riding in a big ole' Harley group uh'
    friends’’ (BJAY)

    I didnt realize how
nice it was to be able to move your feet and legs about that VStar
compared to the R1100RT. You are really locked in once position on that
    BMW.’’ (Beemer Biker)

: Hey! that just makes it easier for me to replace what falls off my
    : bike LOL

If it falls off and the bike stops running, pick it up and put it back on.

If it falls off and the bike keeps going, it wasn't needed in the first
    place.

If your '03 Harley is leaking oil, look to the mechanic. Do you wrench your
    own ride?
    You might want to reconsider.
