Gritting...

    Is it normal for councils to grit roads in April? When it's not forecast to
    drop below 5C ?


    Because Oxfordshire were gritting the A34 last night - thankfully in the car
    but it looks rather horrid today and I'm not really looking forward to
    washing it off in case it's marked the paint.

    But still, gritting in April?

    The A404 too. I was surprised, but can understand, as...
    ....Easter has traditionally been a severe cold snap. Easter was early
    this year, but mid april is usually pretty cold and often brings snow.

    The highways dept's are on their own weather warning network.
    But **** knows why that would come up with a forecast to suggest they needed
    to grit last night or tonight.

    Ring the cunts up tomorrow and demand to know why they are squandering your
    council tax ;-)
