well it looks like the "spy" shots were real. here's more details:
    http://www.mcnews.com.au/NewBikeCatalogue/2004/Kawasaki/ZX10/ZX10_Page1.htm

personally i think it looks bloody good! okay so n oexhaust through the
tail, but the rims and the overall design (german influence?). and i
thought the new mille was nice, but this just rocks! unless honda or
yamaha have something much better, i think know where my money will be
going towards to for next year!

Black fairing, black frame, black wheels, black mirrors, black seats,
black_barends_... can you have too much black?

On seeing this yesterday, I rang my local Kwaka shop, to ask whether they've
been told when to expect the first bikes to start coming in and how much to
charge for them. It went like this,

"You know how Kwaka have now released information about the ZX10...?"
    "They have? Where?"
    "It's on the web..."
"Oh, can I have the website, so I can have a look over lunch?"
    ....

Sounds like an encounter I had at my local Honda dealer last week while
waiting for them to fit a new set of tyres on the 'bird.
"Hey I like the new CB1300"
    "Oh, have they released that"
"Errr.. there's one parked right there...."

Drool factor high! What a machine. Looks like it could have the goods. Ok,
so it might not come out on top, but atleast it'l surely be a huge leap
forward from the ZX9R in the direction of other litre sports bikes.

One must remember that I guess now there's no such thing as a "sport sport
tourer" like the ZX9R. This thing is bred for the track from the riding
position, suspension and general layout. Bugger :( Why can't they give us a
relaxed riding position, comfy seat, with 160HP and a short wheelbase?
Wouldn't that be the ultimate? Save the RR's for the race track shit.

It seems they haven't got the new high pressie die casting system in place
yet. The frame and swingarm still have lots of different components (cast
and pressed) welded together. It's unlike the yammie that's claiming
something like a total of 2 welds in the frame. One only has to look at a
Honda swingarm to appreciate this technology.

Can't wait to see next years shootout with the litre blasters!

  7. So ride with the leathers half-unzipped and let the chest hair billow in the
    slipstream...

I dont really have any chest hair. My chest hair probably got assigned
to your back to make up the law of averages :)

sorry...make that red with pinstripes...extra power thats cheaper than a
    turbo

id actually like to see a bike whose fairings are transparent or opaque
plastic. would be interesting to see what it looked like..
if you dropped it you wouldnt need to get a costly sprayjob. Just buff
    it yourself :)

But the black absorbs heat into the components of the motorcycle itself,
which then radiates the heat back out. The white reflects it from the
start, and the bike itself will remain at a lower temperature. Since we're
concerned with direct heat transfer, having the bike at a lower temp will
    make us feel cooler. :)

    I'll try again,

In the US the ZX-6R comes in red, blue, black, silver, white and
green. In the UK they have yellow, but not some of the others.
