    Dear all,

    Question related to Kwak GPz305.

I have a little (not smooth) movement between the crank-driven big gear
behind the clutch and the outer (larger) part of the clutch itself.
These two parts have been tight in other bikes I have looked at.

Sorry, that's a terrible pair of sentences. This has nothing to do with
the clutch plates (they have been taken out). I wonder if there's some
sort of damping mechanism responsible here, or if the clutch is simply
loose. To know for sure, I'll have to build myself a clutch extractor
tool and take the inner part of the clutch out, but I just wondered if
anyone knows about such a damping system fitted to this model of bike?
Or whether something is just loose.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Me too - it's been well looked after.

Yes, I think you're right. This is a problem. I'll strip it down and see
what's going on. Cheers for the advice.

And another bit of advice - read the FFAQ and learn how to post
    properly.

  5. Cracking little bike, mine notched up over 25k of faultless miles when I
owned and commuted one and was still going when next I saw it a year
    later.

I can't help with the clutch though as apart from the rev counter drive
cable falling out every five minutes nothing ever went wrong on it.
