    Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has a list of Redlight and fixed/mobile speed
camera locations (Victoria specifically, but Australia wide also
    worthwhile)

Am shortly after a GPS for my bike (am yet to decide on model), but if
anyone had a database of waypoints/locations of hazards that could be
imported it would be greatly appreciated and help me decide on the model
    to get.

    Regards

Yes, there is. Google and you will find. The files contain the same
info for all models, lat/lon/description. There is software to convert
    from one to another.

Fantastic - thanks - will look for it and get a supported model to use
    with it.

No hint as to the name of it? Google mostly brings up adds for roadwatch
(which doesnt have a download option), a uniden system and road angel so
    far (will delve deeper)

I can understand why you might want warning/reminder about breaking the
speed limit in front of a camera, but, please tell me why you'd need to
    know about red light cameras?

The logical explanation is that you may just feel like going thru red
lights and wouldn't like to do that on camera. :-|

True - I just lump them all together since I found the red light camera
on St Kilda road that is also a speed camera - Don't think I've ever run
a red light except for when the sensor wasn;t tripped.

But that's not running a red light. That's proceeding with caution
through an intersection with a traffic signal fault. Totally legal.
