Got a No Show

Buddy Helscel called this morning .. Seem that he's not going to be able to
make this planned run to Mexico.. He's been down for a week with pneumonia
and with all his other health problems, he just can't see his way clear to
make a trip like this, at this time..

With all the other things wrong with him, there was some reservations about
his making this trip, from the beginning.. His disappointment from not being
up to it, is exceeded only by my own.. There will be other trips, though and
if he is careful, he'll be amongst us, to make some of them..

The Green One is sitting on the Mexican's patio, huffing and puffing.. in
anticipation, I guess.. Mounted with a new set of leather saddlebags, fresh
oil.. lubed chain and all.. that old roadhorse is more than ready..
