Your article wasn't censored, it was monged so that it doesn't attract the
spam you were trying to direct to the Right Honourable Mr. Howard. Poor
    chap.

It seems nice an clear (which is more than can be said for Multimap), but I
prefer the wizzy Java app on www.map24.co.uk :)

Slider emerged from their own little world to say
Map24 was the best one I found for street level detail when looking for
directions from the airport to my hotel in Salou

The hotel was on a new road built about 2000. This road did not appear on
    mappy & viamichelin.

I asked viamichelin for a route from Le Havre[1] to somewhere in
Bavaria. The software told me to catch a ferry back to the UK, drive
from Portsmouth to Dover, catch another ferry.....
    It is

[1] I have family in Portsmouth so the overnight crossing suited us as
we could get a very early start on the French side

  7. First thing I tried was a search for directions for an 8 mile journey
from my house. The route was drawn correctly but the directions say
"turn left at Malden Road" when they should actually say "turn *right*
    at Malden Road".

I mention this just in case anyone is actually thinking of relying on it
    to get somewhere....

  8. I see lots of significant towns have nice clear red dots, but what (FFS)
is Heanor doing in there when neither Derby, Nottingham nor Leicester are?

Do the red dots mean something they are not telling us about?
    Bomb shelters?
    Loony party seats?
Cold war targets? (Nope that would include Slough :))

No, I was hoping it was a nice place, for comic effect.

It's pretty much the opposite, which in it's own way brings comic
    effect, I suppose.

    I couldn't possibly comment.

I don't think they want to be French either mind you.

I lived there for a while. I had my first ever experience of what it
was like to be on the receiving end of racial prejudice when T went for
a job interview there. Seems I only got the interview in the first
place because they thought I was local.

Nasty experience it was. Made me feel a bit more for the plight of wogs
    as it goes.

Good gosh no, they exploit the frogs more than they do us, especially
    for cheap seasonal farm labour.

It's nice, but only any good if you want roads.

Multimap has in it's favour that they us proper OS maps, so you get
all the bridleways, paths, unclassified roads, etc.

Now that is neat. Until now I have been using streetmap.co.uk which I
    like for it's OS maps and it's WGS84 co-ordinates.
