Good Service from Clarks (Birmingham)

Hi

It's nice to be able to report some good service.

I have a 51 plate R1150R with about 12K on the clock. After a ride at
the weekend I noticed a bit of an oil leak around the base of the front
suspension shock.

Rang my local dealer and found out

1) They do this sometimes
2) No, there's no serviceable parts inside
3) A replacement costs £225 plus fitting (£47)

Mumble grumble

Contacted Clarks for a second opinion and everything was confirmed
*except* Clarks offered to contact BMW UK for me.

Next day I received a call from them and BMW have offered 50% off the
price of a replacement (which will have 2 years warranty)

All this despite the fact that the bike wasn't originally supplied by
them, has never been serviced by them and I have never bought anything
from them. Athough in future I think I know who will get my business.
