Good Second Hand Dirt Bike?

My wife is interested in dirt biking. I guess since the kids are out of the
house, she can now leave the cruiser and go for the back roads.

My sweetie is 5' 0" and 11x pounds. She is not frail, but she is not
muscular. I suspect she will not be jumping hills, but she will want to
power around the dirt trails in woods behind our house.

I can see if she really likes this, I will be "forced" to finally to get a
    KLR650.

Since this may be a temporary endeavor, I'd like to keep the dollars down
and buy a used dirt bike initially. But I know next to nothing about dirt
bikes: only that most if not all are 2-cycle, start at 150 cc's for adults,
and are usually well used when put up for sale. So, as you can see, I need
some help. TIA for any tips, suggestions, advice.

The odds of finding one are slim, but if you see a Honda tlr200 take
a close look. I have one (used only an pavement, alas!) and it's been
    a superb teacher.

    Bob, Hank,

I like both bikes. Only and biggest problem at 5' 0" (soaking wet :),
she'll have a hard time touching the ground with both feet. Her current
bike is 25" seat height. She just touches the ground with both feet and
thick soled shoes. I'm sorry to say both these bikes are in the 30"+ seat
height. This will be a fun bike to give her the experience of the bike moving
side to side on dirt to increase her confidence on the streets. She took a
trail riding course and didn't like it because she had to stand up on the
pegs all the time and she didn't think she had done all that well. I told
her for a 5? year old girl, she did plenty good just going to the course.
I'm wondering is I should go for a 50 to 100 cc bike like for a 10-12 year
    boy??

My tlr200 has a 28" seat height and only 6" straddle width. Just walked out
    and measured them .

Granted, that does not solve the problem of finding one. But, if you do,
    it's worth a sit-test.

    Gents,

Thanks for the saddle height info and suggestions. Yesterday I did a quick
Google search and got the numbers. Instead of trying to make this a total
surprise gift, I'll make sure when i get a line on a bike to have her try
    the saddle.

She had a Kawa 440 LTD first-bike and quickly wanted a more power, so I
understand and agree starting with at least with 100 cc's.

    Ride safe,
