Good places for breakfasts in central Southern UK ?

Looking to compile a list of options for good places (i.e. good food at
cheap prices and biker friendly) to stop for snacks, breakfasts etc. whilst
out and about. Also any 24 hour places, as rides can go on through the night
    ?

Generally south of the M4, but up to say 50 miles North of it as well.

    Any recommendations ?

    Cheers,

    Nick

You might want to narrow it down a bit. My favourite is:

but then I'm partial to the sound of a Sopwith Pup starting up or the
sight of a Pitts Special doing low passes, actually the coffee's not
    bad.

  6. spida laid this down on his screen :
They are not that bad, though perhaps a little expensive ;-)

Many of the larger supermarkets do a reasonably good, cheap breakfast
if they have a cafe. Not usually 24 hour though.

    Hi Harry,
Thanks for that one too - we have Tesco store locator guides in each of our
top boxes, and yes they are good value.
Another came back with his suggestion of local airfield cafes, which is also
a good idea and a bit of added in-built interest !
We are also both licensed and use 70 cms or 2M for bike to bike and
generally ride in Southern UK most weekends.
Are you anywhere near down south ( must dig out my callseeker !) fancy a
    meet up ?

They're never better than the alternatives. They're just easier to
    find.

The owner owns a GoldWing 1800 IIRC, so I shouldn't think he'd kick you

Victoria Cafe, Victora Street St. Albans. Can't say about bikers being
welcome, but they do a fucking excellent traditional fry-up.

There's a little place just north of Bristol. Never been any complaints
about the coffee or the breakfasts...

Get a copy of "A Truck Driver's Guide to Cafes & Truckstops" to get
you started. Available from all good cafes and truckstops listed in
    the aforementioned guide.

I can heartily recommend that place on both counts.

Any more clues to narrow its whereabouts down a bit please?

Sounds fair enough, I just never went in there in biker gear.

  20. Nick formulated the question :
I'm up north and the present job tends to keep me up here most of the
time, but thanks for the offer.
