mum complaining of a lack of rain in Byron Bay, nor my rellies up north
(esp. around Innisfail).

Mebbe. Basically I've been around the coast (clockwise) from
somewhere north of Innisfail to Port Pirie, then the other bounds are from
there to Adelaide, Broken Hill, Hay, Armidale, Tamworth, Casino and close
the polygon. OTOH, I've certainly seen more of Australian Antarctic
Territory than you! (I've lived in Oz, Antarctica, North America and
Europe; visited Asia; and seen Africa across the Gibraltar Straits. I've
yet to set eyes on, or overfly, South America.)
