or the other thing that seems to be popular is the fly/ride thing. I
believe Gyp is doing this for his Italian trip. Boys road trip on the bike
& T will fly down to Naples.

what you need is for that son of yours to make a baby, grandad. Then you
will be all forgotten about and can get on with your hobby.

reading your Facebook post, it doesn't sound like it. Sounds more like
    grounds for divorce.

Which is odd, because they call that area "the frying pan".

Heh, my lad's only 20 mins away, but sprigging seems to not figure in
the immediate life plan. Shame really, I reckon I'd be a cool gramps.

    "inland of Jerez" hmm.

Chiclana looks nice. Must pop over and take a look.

well, they said, "flying to Gib and heading somewhere near Jerez"
http://www.laluzvilla.com/ is where they are staying. Looks nice and the
reality seems to match the description from what they are reporting on
    Facebook.

It's better than parenting. You can spoil the oiks and they love you for it,
you can bollock 'em and they *still* love you and you can send them the ****
back to Mum and Dad and they *still* love you.

And for some inexplicable reason, they think you're "cool". I rather think
it'll all change in about 10 years though.

My kids still think I'm cool cos I ride bikes and for some strange
reason my son is in love with my scabby old BMW 3 series even though
both his elder sisters cars are worth more than mine, so I'm kind of
cool for having one of those too.

Same here; officially over 27 C at Northolt (which may not be the
closest weather station, but it's what I tell Mum so she doesn't realise
how close I am to Heathrow). My wireless weather station hit 31.9 but I
think its solar shielding isn't as good as it might be.
Holidays here of course, but I had to go around two floors of our
building this afternoon warning students/postdocs to close the louvred
windows before they left, because of storm forecasts. 2.4 mm of rain
between 8 and 10 PM. Wind was uppish but not really gale-force.
