Good job I'm not allowed to ride a motorcycle.

  1. It hasn't stopped raining here in days.

The rain in Spain is currently falling mainly on the plain.

    My plain.

Bummer for people who went there for the bank holiday fest. They'll
come back all white & pasty, only to be confronted by a bunch of
    lobsters.

    WSM is HOT.
Dug the ALDI portable aircon out of the garage and plugged it in.
    29.5c down to 19 in 25 minutes.
Much better. I suggest that you all grab one next time the come
    around in the special offers.

  6. Been lovely all day. Thunderstorms now. And I'd just finished cleaning
    the GN250.....

I don't need aircon, I've got two foot thick stone walls. Lovely & cool
    in here.

31.5 here according to the car earlier.

And then it started to rain, so I'm tucked up inside with a crate of
beer, an aircon unit and an indoor barbecue.

off some of the pollen that's making me choke at times.

Fortunately the Limousin was enjoying temperatures similar to here last
week and has been for a while apparently with little rain. I've never
seen the 'English River' so low in April before. The orange tip
butterflies were out in force and the lilac was flowering (at 600 metres
    altitude).

Superb stuff Pete. Nowhere else does "nature" as well as rural France
IMHO. It's been too long since I was last there to enjoy it (circa 1997
    IIRC).

Indeed. Though holding back the assault of growing things threatening to
turn the whole plot to impenetrable 'maquis', armed only with a mower,
strimmer and machette was thirsty work.
