So... that's the K1100 out of it's slumbers and pretty much good to go.

Also had a look at the ZXR. Seems that the earth from the coil had come
loose and was jumping around near the pos to the coil, hoping that's
what was causing the main fuse to blow 'cos having fiddled with it all
    seems fine.

Got it started for the first time in a while and took it for a bit of a
spin. Nice enough. Really need to take it out properly though.

Even went so far as washing the K75.

Then spent 30 minutes on the phone sorting out some work related stuff.
    Good day.

Been out on the blade all day, cleaned it up & fettled new pads this
morning. As it had new rubber on, I thought it prudent to scrub 'em in.
No chicken strips at all ;)

Well... there are the reasons Wessie gives.

    There's also:

    a) The rear tyre's also fucked on the ZXR
    b) I've not got 100% faith I've cured the issue
    c) It's currently SORNed and I cba to sort this morning;tried to tax
    online and failed
    d) It doesn't have the luggage capacity of the K1100
    e) It's not as comfortable for a >200mile jaunt
    f) I'm a boring old ****

  12. May I suggest the use of a kite or small weather balloon to loft the
    necessary long aerial wire?
