    As noted at the EOSM.

    Shock-absorber related, I reckon.

It only occurs below 10mph, when the shocks extend on acceleration.

The left one is an oil/spring jobbie, and I reckon it's fecked, after
73k miles. Especially considering the punishment it's been given.

The right, of course, is an air shock. Pumping it to 70 psi alleviates
the problem; but that's 30psi over limit, and transforms the wing into
a hardtail. Not an ideal solution.

I've decided on a set of Progressives, but no U.K. retailer sells the
air pipes and T-piece, it seems. Currently in comms with the importer.
    Looks promising.

As for the shaft-drive footrest wobble, today's testing revealed that
it only manifests it self when decelerating from >75mph. Below that,
nothing. Odd. I shall inspect the arse-end when the shocks go in,
    anyway.

Next weekend is front fork overhaul time, assuming I can pick up a
trolley jack, from either Machine Mart, or Halfords.

Final question: would it be worth changing the head bearings anyway,
as I'd already have the front to bits?

  4. Worth checking and double-checking the throttle synch too. With all
the throttles closed, if one of them isn't quite and the engine is on
the overrun perhaps it's that that's causing the vibes?

Head bearings are taper roller jobbies. I seem to remember paying around a
tenner for them. But then I was a trade customer so to speak.

Can't remember the numbers but you'll be taking them out anyway and there
will be numbers on the races so he'll be able to match them for you. If not
in stock it's usually only a day wait anyway.

    It's done now.

With the very slight exception of re-routing the self-cancelling
    switch loom down the headstock.

    Imagine the scene:

You have a headstock, say 10" long.

You have two pieces of wire, each 5.25" long with a connector block on
the end. The other ends are fixed.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to connect the pair
    of them.
