hello anyone out there put one in a gl 1500.
I just did and noticed a little better throttle response and top end snap.
it does have a hitch in the gettyup when snapping the throttle on hard
though and was curious if anyone has rejetted etc.
    TIA

K&N's do have less air restriction than paper filters, but...

If you oil the filter too much, it acts like a choke and makes the
    mixture
    too rich.

It takes a few days for the excess oil to dry up or absorb into the
    fabric or whatever it does.

I don't use K&N filter oil, I just wash the filter in kerosene and
    that's oily enough.

Check with WOTI one of the better wing web sites. Ignore krusty he
doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean would you trust a moron
that NEVER changes brake fluid in 20 years? I wouldn't, especially
    him.

open the buffet in the back or they get a flat or .......................

See that's the difference. The original came with a hibachi and you
are expceted to keep anything you hit so as to facilitate acquiring
meat for the grill. ;^) Cheaper if you lay it over in the driveway
also...no plastic EVER hist the ground.

nope no hibachi I have the foreman grill hooked up to an inverter that can
be deployed at a moments notice in case of tasty morsels found on road or I
can hook up the espresso maker and put some shitty music on the system for
    my portable starbucks!scone anyone?
but seriously the wing has changed my life.I have never had a scoot capable
of such comfort and ability to eat miles with good
handling, reliability, etc.all while 2 up with my better half in the couch
seat.we have done grand canyon, glacier, yellowstone and so many 300-400 mile
trips i have lost track.although i have changed the hyd fluids at 40,000
    miles.
one of these days I will get the 1800 and enjoy better handling and all the
    comforts too.
and my solo rides with the boys will be EPIC!!!!!!!!warp 5 engage...........

I need a new stove top esspreso maker myself. It seems there is no
room for my Briel esspreso maker. ;^)

You'd be surprised how comfortable a bone stock Gl1000 is. Radio? I
suppose if ya gotta put some headphones in. GPS? We are manly men and
know where we are going! (got the direction grease penciled on the
    tach)

Change hydralic fluids? uh, yeah all I worry is brake fluid myself. At
least I have one advanatage...I can run a blower or weber
    downdrafts. ;^)

    Webers?

    Snork!

You'd be lucky to afford a set of Stromberg 97's.

Yes but my brakes are reliable adn well maintained. Oh and yes I can
afford webers if I wanted. More likely to upgrad the brakes while
    building my other motorcycle.

but being as you don't know anything about everything you'll likely
spout off more cut n' paste to look smarter than you are.

You're just like The Old Gasbag, you take any negative evidence you
read and you run with it.
I'll just bet you have a whole dream list of things you'd like to
    afford to buy...

Ah and now Krusty starts projecting again. But at least you admit you
don't do maintinece on your brakes and that you wouldn't know how.
Doesn't everyone? One of mine is buyin an original IL-2 or a T34/75.

You sound just like that other Titan owner, full of impractical
    dreams.

He died at age 42 without every realizing his dream of building a
    frigate...

If you *really* want a warbird, you can get a Nanchang CJ6 or a Yak-52
in the air for less than $100K.

    http://www.warbirdalley.com/yak52.htm

First Yak-52 owner I talked to said that he bought his plane for only
$50K, right after the Soviet Union broke up.

Poor bastard...that would have been cool
JUNK no history and not worth of the son of a nation that ravaged a
ruled more land than rome or the Union of Soviet Socilist Republics.
What ever...Yak suck in my opinon. No durability and so pedestrian in
design...much like the junk you used to tear up before NASA fired
    you.

When you grow a pair big enough to take on turning around a 100million
dollar industry with not much more than a $25k investment then you're
getting impractical. But that's in line with my motor "Go big or go
home" you obviously never got off the porch.

Red Star flyers is a group of Yak and Nanchang owners who comes out to
    the
local underused airport and practices formation flying about twice a
    year.

Admission is free and the public can talk to the pilots as they relax
    between sessions.

Nope I've got bigger balls that you. You either go whole hog into
ventures such as mine OR you sit on your geriatric failing ass,
sucking your gums talking about your ancestors...I prefer to NOT be
sitting on the porch. Unlike you and most of america and the world,
you sit in whine instead of DOING.

I'm fighting the improbable without a Gates sized fortune. Kind of
like a flea crawling up and elephants hind leg with lecherous plans
and a tube lube in hand. What's the worst that happens??? I get placed
on the Peacock throne as absolute ruler? P'shaw that's not a problem.

It's still just a Yak. The 9 was 'okay' the 52 is a fine trainer...but
MiG was/is better and Ilyushin built their best ever (imo and russian
hearts and minds) in the IL-2. You might want to crank up your wiki on
the other though it's a tank...many are still nib.
