So I took the Silver Sewing Machine out for my maiden stitching run.
Up to the slopes of foggy Mount Tam for a bit of Panoramic Highway putzing
( it's got almost 150 Hp for pete's sake!, I am allowed to putz for the
    first few hundred miles..)

I thought it would be perfect to join the Narters at the North parking lot
    of the GGB, but noooooo...
You can't GET there from Marin, period. Unlessof course you want to park
somewhere and hike up the dirt mountain from Sausalito or something , then
climb over the cyclone fence to get to the parking area.
I explored the possiblities but found no way to get there from the north
side of teh bridge. I mean really.

So I got in the bridge heading south, and beeped a long beep, this was about
at 1110 or so. When I arrived at the toll plaza, I was told by the collector
that indeed, I would have to go all the way back to Marin and thus pay
ANOTHER 5 bucks for the toll on the way back again.
    Nope.
I went home, and took a long nap.
    Sorry Larry.

  2. Sorry you couldn't make it Jim! You shoulda just ridden on down to
Alice's. That's where Michael and I met up with the group. We
wondered what happened to you--glad to learn it wasn't anything awful.

  4. Me too... I wanted to ride with you...

Holly and I came down 101 and made the first exit after the tunnel at
10:30... we headed to the view point only to find thick fog blanketing
the Golden Gate... We decided to take what ever shot we could down under
    Fort Point...

    Pics are coming...

Ok, so you stopped in the South parking lot?. I coulda twisted back and met
you all there or at Fort Point.
I came down 101 from marin , exited the Waldo tunnel and took the Marin
Headlands exit. From there I poked around trying to get over to the North
Parking Lot, but no way I could get there. So I gave a loud and long beep as
    I got on the GGB.
Now if I had known you were going to be on the South Side of the bridge it
woulda made it easier. I just couldn't have brought myself to pay an extra
toll to get back over the bridge to the North Parking Lot ( where you said
you would be, by the way...)
    Oh well.
    Next time.
