    Again on Sunday......

More minor hassles with the house (like no floors anymore and a few walls we
    wanted staying put being 'removed'....)

    Anyway...

Those who mentioned going to France this summer and, maybe, visiting Chateau
Wavy and/or at least coming for a meal at Le Balandre, Cahors really ought
to e-mail me at and/or or
    I'll just forget....

Don't you just hate it when you hit 'send' *before* you type....?

Anyway, what I *meant* to say was:

"One of the reasons the floors etc are out is to replace all the wiring
whilst they put in the central heating, etc..."

    1. I don't watch those programmes.

    2. I've had more hassle trying to put in a new kitchen in the UK than I
have with the whole wiring/central heating/solar panels/major building work
I've got going on in France... I *know* it's a bit more laid back, so we
gave them deadlines we *knew* were a few months before we wanted to move...

The way things are going, it'll be done *before* we move....

Of course there's so much more to go wrong yet...

    3. I'm back out there at the weekend. That's the 4th week-long trip so far
this year. So I am almost managing it on the ground anyway.... At least
this time I've resisted the Terminus/Balandre Euro-fest I did the last few
    times...[1]

    Dave

[1] Terminus being the hotel/Balandre being the restaurant, E1500 being the
    average bill...

If you're any good at building/electrical stuff then, in all honesty, you're
on as it *would* be useful to have someone on site.

Unfortunately the weather's pretty crap at the mo'... Only 20-odd celsius
    most days

And you'd have to look after the whole house , so only 5 bedrooms/3
    bathrooms to defile....

    But if you're free then I suppose I can't be a chooser...... :)

On the left, third building up.. The one that's about parallel with the
    river, with a two-level roof and a sticky-out-to-the-right-terrace that's is
just visible... That's the one. The railway doesn't run anymore...

Good oh - if you're going to see them in person I'd be grateful if you
find out how much they charge for Koni DAR alikes or their basic twin
shock package. It's for me and my Guzzi.

So is this a permanent move? Job moved as well, or what? I guess I've
missed some posts over the ski season, so wasn't aware of it.
    <Checks map> Hmmm, this'd be a good (long) day's ride, at about 850km
from my place, but I might think about it at some point in the summer.
Nice area you're in and I haven't really visited it much. You got a
spare room in the chateau, I presume?

Oh, and I'll have the gold taps sent over asap...

I've visited Cahors a few times, too. Love that part of France,
especially on a bike - the roads are sublime.
