It has come to my attention that one of our
number has just gone solo. No no, not like
that you dirty-minded bastards, I mean in
    an aeroplane!

No, no NO! Not like *that* either!

Did his first solo circuit in a Cessna 152
(that's an aeroplane) at Bankstown just
    yesterday.

Stand up and take a bow Dave!

Now I'm not 100% sure if I'm available on
the day, but I tentatively propose Wollombi
pub on (a) Tuesday to celebrate?

Mate, you are a champion! Thanks for the accolade. I'm still smiling like
a fool and if I could be here on Tuesday (never know your luck) I'd be
heading up to Wollombi (damnit!!). Back to Qld I'm afraid, but perhaps the
    following week...

Cheers and one day you'll have to come for a spin (not in the literal I'm
    hoping!).

    Cheers,
    Dave E ZZR600 => ST2 (stolen) => '03 XX => C152... :)

    Hi Cam,

Many thanks and yes, a good question. I supppose everything has a
trade-off. More of the 3rd dimension (yes, the XX has been airborne
momentarily - totally at the behest of Lisa of course) and less of the axial
    g-forces. (...and no, I don't and never will own a C152 - a Cirrus SR-22 G2
or Lancair IV perhaps though...) hehe. That would be 'death by Lisa'!

    Cheers,
    Dave

Mate, you are a champion! Thanks for the accolade. I'm still smiling
Bugger. If you were riding up on Tuesday I would have done the same!! Never
mind. Be prepared for a Basair bashing from GB though. I'll be respectable
    and won't say a word :)

    Well done (again).

It does indeed sound like a plan, but a plan bereft of detail.....

Berowra Mobil, 10.00am, today (Tuesday)...coffee/smoko at PITS....
    ditto Kulnura....lunch at Wollombi.

Due to prior appointments, Dave E. may, or may not, zoom by at some
point in time. He may, or may not, be riding the Blackbird, or driving
the 152....(just so long as he buys the beers).

I'm trying to convince SWMBO that we really can afford a Cri-cri with a pair
of turbines.... 150kt, single seat, twin turbine, fully aerobatic kit
    plane. Yeh baby!!

Negotiations are currently stalled at the "sell the bike and the boat, or no
plane" stage. I belive I can overcome this stalemate with some kind words,
much grovelling and some flat out bribes (like building he pergola).

Congrats again Dave :) See you in the air some time.

*Next* Tuesday seems more like the plan. Dave E is apparently
elsewhere, and I've been summonsed to appear before the
    boss today.

*Next* tuesday I'll either be celebrating or I won't give
    a shit.

I think it prudent that you blokes put in a practise run
though, just to make sure that it all goes off properly
    on the day.

You can take it for a spin on the runway. Wonder what it will do the
    quarter mile in.

    sprang to mind...... :)

OTOH, it didn't fall over, so I guess it must be stable. <shrug>
