In case anyone didn't notice and is looking at this post through their
alternative news server setup, the Goiman server has changed names.
    So News.Individual.NET
should be the new name used instead of News.CIS.DFN.DE
    See http://news.cis.dfn.de/serversplit-en.html
    for more info.

(Crosses fingers to hope sig sep etc works)

Well FreeAgent popped up a meaningful error message telling me what to
change the server name to. Can't complain at that, given that it was
well known they were planning to cutover us hoi polloy over to the new
    server.

You are kidding, YTC, ... and probably whooooosh?

You post a message to USENET, stating that one of the gazillion news
servers has changed. Those that need to know[1], will have found that
their messages bounced[2], and only those that don't really give a
****, will have read your notice.

[1] i.e. those that use it.
[2] Until they configured their news reader to the correct server.
Which would allow them to read your post. Telling them to change the
configuration of their news reader. Which they would already have
    done.

    <sigh>
