A lot of bods around here use it. news.cis.dfn.de , normally a good 'un
but seems to have fucked off in the last 30 mins.
I agree TW is a pile of poo with all its time-outs and late appearance
    of posts.

And they have a problem of a faulty FO cable, that's lasted 6 weeks.
Oh and you can't add any more groups 'cos they can't afford any bigger
    servers ..... and ....
Thanks for that server addy anyhow :)

Try using the text server, news-text - it's somewhat better that the
    standard server.

For some reason, although it seems to be more reliable, it seems
incredibly slow for me. Ages ago I was using something like
cable.ie.net but not sure of the exact address. Anyone know this. It
    used to be pretty good.

You'll need to configure Agent to log onto the server using your
primary pop3 mail account details should you wish to post.

  16. It's the same place / machine AFAIK, the original news.cis.dfn is
being kept for internal university accounts.

I’m having similar issues but due to the recent problems with the german
one I’m using teranews ATM and the messages are still getting their
threads shuffled, which is odd. UKRM makes little enough sense
normally, but I thought Christofires story of festive self mutilation
was a more than usually surreal response to my request for info on how
to get a square root in the MS windows crackerlator, didn’t say anything
    at the time though.
