God Botherers

  1. I know.

But the house was warm and dry.

They, when I invited the answer, told me they were doing their 'bit' in
one lump so they got let off religious duties when they got back to the
    US.

    Or some thing like that.

They did seem poorly briefed in what to expect with weather and what
    peoples reactions would be.

  2. A some what eccentric father of a friend of mine, when I was in Kent,
solved the problem of repeated 'knocks' on his door by God Botherers by
open the door and inviting them in:
Stark naked and only talking Swahili to them.

    They never came back.

I'd find it even harder to be polite, coupled with their insane belief
in invisible fairies is oppression of minorities & women which is far
less prevalent amongst the JW and other christian sects.

  4. I just set the border collie on them until the pit bull wakes up and
    joins in.

My youngest son did the same several years ago with JW's but without the
need to invite them in or talk Swahili. They've never been back either.
<wonder if it'll work on door-to-door salesmen from NPower and Scottish
    Power...>

  6. Of course, it is not an offence to walk around one's own house naked,
    and visitors take their chances.
