    My entry...
I've been surfing that pepipoo website mentioned in connection with NIPs in
another thread, it makes moderately interesting reading.

To be honest in all but one case listed it would appear that the people
doing the whinging were actually speeding, and whether they like it or not
speeding is an offence, so even though I don't fully agree with our speed
limits I'm not terribly sympathetic towards their gripes.

I do however fully support the concept that police officers and evidence
presented by the prosecution in trials should be truthful, and accurate, and
that the same standards of evidence should be applied to the crown as they
are to the individual - which clearly wasn't so in some cases.

However... I digress... here's my opening entry for Gobsmacked Of The Year
    2004

So let's see if we've got this straight... the Police Complaints Authority,
established by act of Parliament to oversee complaints by members of the
public against police officers, the PCA in all but the most serious of cases
has no power to investigate a complaint made by a member of the public
against a police officer if that police officer's Assistant Deputy Chief
Constable decides not to record the complaint?

    How fucking convenient!

U all stay away from coppers now.

That's what courts are (partly) for.
