It now features a ****-off gurt Vetter fairing and a rack with backrest
    and Samsonite top-box and panniers.

None of which have done anything to alleviate its hedge-hunting
    characteristics at *all*.

Sounds like you've uncovered the true soul of a Gold Wing.

    Well done.

We *will* have to arrange a CIHAGM, just so you can see that they
never got better over 20 years.

Should I bother to put some new fork seals in and replace the fork oil,
or will Sir be happy with it as it is?

*New* fork oil? In a Wing? How quaint.

Mine deffo needs new tyres before I subject anyone else to it.

Are you going Frogside in September?

Failing that, I have a week off in July.

I only said "replace". I'll wipe the disks over with a rag and wring it
out in to the fork legs, obviously.
I am provided TOG can do me a single room. And if I go, I'm taking the
    Wing.

What you need to do is cut a notch in the seals at the back of the
stanchions, so that any oil which leaks up past them can drain back down.
    I'll be on the bag-hauler.

It's just that mine's still got the oil that was put in it in April
1997, and I guess it could do with a change.
    Woo-hoo.
