Ok so I dropped into GLF last Saturday with Loz and Irene. Wanted an
idle look at the Jofama jacket but had it in mind to order a MTM MJK
    leather jacket, perhaps full suit.

We turned up at 17:30 thinking Graham closed at 6 but he was just
pulling the blinds down. No problem, he had the door open and the kettle
    on without a grumble.

I tried the Halvarsson's Safety Jacket and was v.impressed but it is
bloody expensive, as we heard here from PV. Well, I got into trying the
leathers, found the size that was about right, decided on the right kind
of armour, about to get measured up and......

We walked out about 18:30 with me wearing the Halvarsson (1), one pair
of Gerbing heated gloves and a second pair on order for me. No, I don't
know quite how it fucking happened either, worst of it? I was happy as
    a sandboy.

There is only one obvious solution, our Graham has been on the McKenna
hypnotism and auto suggestion courses (2). BEWARE

    (1) it is too expensive, running it through the company so save VAT and
personal tax hit plus he does a 10% UKRM discount. Calculate that to be
around £316 of personal dosh, about my upper limit and near what it
    would ideally cost.

    (2) Ha I've an iron will see, wasn't wearing the equally nice but
    expensive trousers )~

  2. Don't think of it as *one* expensive jacket, think of it as *two* (or
even three, with the optional full mesh outer) jackets: a waterproof
winter jacket; and a ventilated warm weather jacket (heatwave jacket in
full mesh configuration). In a few months' time, when you have lived
with its capabilities, I will be very surprised if you do not view the
cost as every penny money well spent. I am confident that's what Graham
Falcke was thinking as you left his shop. ;-)

You don't reckon he was planning his next Caribbean holiday then?

  5. As Wessie said, then follow the "English Language", "Motorcycle Wear"
    and "Safety Wear" links.

He may be a good salesman but he needs to get a man into to fix that
website, the blank photo page, links to sites with broken links...

    Yes.

The trousers are the same, you get the Screen and Vinyl overtrousers as well
    as the Safety Pants.

I can tell you what they cost me in Germany (in Euros: Jacket 699; Trousers
599). Some of the other guys might be up on UK prices.

Damn, that's not right. Actually I paid 1198 Euros for the whole thing and
the jacket was more than the trousers.
