Glasses Steaming Up

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Nick Le Lievre, Mar 25, 2009.

  1. Hi

Just got fitted for a new helmet and find that with the visor all the
way down my glasses steam up when breathing, I can get around this
mostly by leaving the visor slightly open by 1 or 2 notches, is it safe
to do this and has anyone else expierienced this problem.

Foggy mask or contacts. It's the only way.

You didn't wear glasses though did you? I couldn't live without one. plus
they keep you toasty in the snowy winter.

Nor me. Used to get dank and slimy from my breath.
Maybe my breath is too wet.

  15. Yes I've experienced it in the past. I first beat it with one of those
double glazzed Uvex hats, excellent ventilation. I broke that when I
headbutted the floor and replaced it with a Laxer Revolution. It has a
built in mask that vents straight outside the hat, it's also a flip
front so no need to remove the glasses before putting it on. It's
heavy and noisy but I can see where I'm going. I can even see you've
just bought a new lid so the above comments are a bit late - sorry.
