I was watching this non-running Morini 500 ("in need of total
restoration"), in the hope that I might snaffle it cheap and grab some
useful parts for my own one.

Jesus! I paid under £770 for mine and this dog went for £70 more. And
mine goes (so far).

I can see it's 100% stock, but would any Moriniphile care to enlighten
me as to why it fetched so much dosh?

Pushed up by a pal possibly? Biker babe100 bid a lot at the tail end. Did
it have a reserve on it?

 

Nope, no reserve. It looks like a total money pit, though I daresay if
you're tuned into Morinis and maybe have a donor bike, then you could
sort it out reasonably cheaply. But the 500s simply aren't worth as
much as the 350s. It's hard to see how you could get this back on the
road for much less than £200, and that's without touching the
cosmetics.

I'd worry about the "ignition damage", as well.

 

That does look a bit sus, what with the seller being
"specky-bikerchick". Hmm.

 

Sounds like one of Ginge's girfriends. If he has more than one, that is.
