gl 1000 incorrect voltage gauge reading

    Someone else had a problem with the volt gauge going up and down at
    will,& not matching actual voltage at battery. I have the same problem.
    I went to a motorcycle junk yard to get one.I found that there is a
    small regulator connected ti it,so i bought both. I haven't had time to
    try it yet,but i beleive the problem is there. My CLYMERS manual shows
    it,but says nothing about it.good luck. jim
