OK then peeps, I'm being thick here.

    Got the gixxer
    RTFM

What is the 'Engine RPM indicator light' for?

Not having one, I'm guessing, but it sounds like something which tells you
when to change gear. Something which you can preset?

If you mean the silvery glass light under the digital speedo then this is to
do with setting the idle speed... The button at the side lifts the revs by
500 each time it is pressed IIRC

    RTFM )

It's a fuel economy thing. Set it to 2000rpm and change up when it lights.

    Arh...righto then.

I give that a miss then. I'd rather look at the road than a flashing
    light.

Well, we all know it's the ejector seat button....can't think why it
    wouldn;t eject Monz though ;-)

Took my own advice and re-read the fucking manual... like the other more
knowledgable gixer owners have said its a toy for use as a gear change
    indicator.

    I'll get my coat.

I'm still laughing from the idea of you using it as an idle adjuster. And in
    increments of 500 rpm:)

"Damn, 7000 RPM before the light come on- I might need to adjust this. I
wish everyone at the traffic lights would stop staring"

I'm being good to, but still felt guilty when I had sit behind a 'bill
    cage, at the lights earlier.

Perhaps it's because I know what I'm like.
