If that's the answer, what's the question?

Well, you remember a couple of years back when ZX10Rs were cheap and on
0% finance, with some Akropovich cans chucked in for good measure?

George White[1] are doing K8s at £7599 and 0% finance, with Arrow cans,
a tail tidy, front & rear paddock stands. The only downside is that
you get a Datatool alarm with it as well.

This has been a public service announcement.

Hmm, I paid 8 grand for my 08 plate K8 with Arrow cans in June so
that's not a bad deal. Are they pre-reg 08's by any chance? Now that
58 plates are out, I imagine he wants to shift them if they are.

Pretty good, my 10R on that deal was £6800 mind. "Discount for beige"

Tempting but year old K7s with single side Akpaovic full systems are
going for under £6k with less than 3k miles.

I'm just hoping that there'll be a few dealers desperate to get their
sales figures high enough to keep their jobs over the summer and I can
sneak a bit of a deal in on a new bike around that time.

You do realise that if I buy an MV then Champ accepts the inevitable
and buys an MV instead of splashing the cash racing we're going to
ruin one of your MV clique trips across Europe don't you?

I suspect Feb/March will be *the* time to buy. We should be nicely into
the recession by then, with lots of dealers going under after the bleak
winter period, & the end of the financial year looming which always
does a good job of encouraging turnover.

    Splitters.

My only problems are trying to work out if interest rates will drop to
a realistic level over the winter, how much my bonus will be, will an
MV be better than my 10R and will Adie park her R1 outside so I can
put a new bike in the garage.

I'm fairly sure that interest rates will drop, my bonus will be crap,
my 10R is a beast and Adie will refuse to park her R1 outside the
    garage. 1 out of 4 isn't bad.

Sadly the MV clique trips are no more. Too many people pulled out this
year due to the euro exchange rate, & the guy who arranged them spat
    the dummy bigtime.

An MV will be faster (both speed & laptimes) than your 10R, but
possibly not as wild. However trying to rationalise such things as toy
purchases is always a mistake, so stop farting around & just buy one to
    scratch the itch.

He could possibly be persuaded to do a private tour rather than a Yahoo
Group tour, especially as that's what he does for a living these days.
Failing that, he does a few 'sportsbike' & 'Italian bike' tours each
    year. http://fast-travel.ch/
