ssh. I'm still waiting for a bite on the shaft/wheelie line. We haven't
had an "informed discussion" on that for a while.

I think that bait only works when a newbie stumbles across it.

"I have never seen a shaft driven bike wheelie. Why is this?"

    Knock yourselves out.

Noone's interested in my earphone issue either. The font is tightly shut.
Personally I seem to be going from s-video to scart into the back of my
telly. No idea why, or what the impact is, except I could see the sockets
    and the cables were cheap.

Regardless of actual figures, the gixxer feels much more grunty than
the bandit. Quite probably at lower revs the bandit's got it, but if
you open the throttle to use said grunt, you'll _very_ quickly be into
the rev range where the gixxer has _so_ much more.

Riding Blaney's 1200 bandit at an *osm after my gixxer it felt quite
gutless. And uncomfortable, but that's another issue.

    you're myopic?
I knocked my front tooth out a couple of months back, will that do?
    Adjust the kerning.
going from "s-video to scart" implies an intrinsic down-converstion to
    composite - bad move.

I didn't reply to your earphones post as the ones I use are flat things
    that came with the intercom.

I have some I use for the satnav thingy which are normal earplugs and
they haven't reached my brain yet. They can dig in a bit when I take my
helmet off but as long as I jiggle them to comfy before I set off
    they're OK during a ride.

Indeedy - the most fun 'B' road bike I've ever ridden. I'm hoping to
buy another house at an auction next Thursday, but if I get outbid, I
suspect the Raptor will become mine.

Mine, I tell you! Mwahahahahaha etc etc.

I thought I might be safe to buy a used bike as long as I don't want
    them to service it.

I despise 3X as much as it's possible for anyone to despise anything.
*But* I have to begrudgingly admit their service department do a damn
good job - far better than another well respected MV dealer I could
    mention.

I always re-serviced the MV as a matter of course after letting a
dealer near it when it was under warranty, & the only problem I ever
found after a 3X service was they didn't replace the alu tape over the
edge of the air filter where it fits into the air box. Everything else
    was spot on.

Their idea of a decent spares supply otoh is absolutely ludicrous, &
for that alone they should be shot.
