Giimi some beans, I want some beans

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by PJ (The original), Sep 14, 2004.

  1. I want, want, want a UKRM 'Give it beans' T-shirt its an absolute classic.

I see there were plenty visible at EOSM and I really liked the Polo shirt
version that a few other were sporting.

Anyhow, since the DIY Sir.Tony t-shirts turned out so well using Staples
t-shirt inkjet transfer paper, I was wondering if the holder of said original
'UKRM beans' artwork could let me have it so that I could print my own. Unless
of course enough wanted to have another run produced.

I notice the pepsi wotever version was suspciously absent from EOSM, again.
Somebody said that they were never printed. Wots all that about then?

    Please, please

Wik had a couple of t-shirts with him on the Sunday - I've blagged one
of the team ones (Wik - can you email me your snail-mail addy please)
and there was another one left. Can't remember if it was the 'give it
    beans' one or not.
If the original holder doesn't still have the original design and
doesn't mind you doing some more, would borrowing a give it beans
    t-shirt be of any use?
    It's a long story..

There's three left in total; a solitary medium in the original design
(large beans logo on back), one medium Team-UKRM one (small beans logo
on r/h breast, "Team UKRM" and "FOYRNB" on the back) and one large Team-
UKRM Crew one (same as previous but with "Crew" underneath).

The latter is reserved for Cit, but seeing as we ain't seen or heard
from the chap, it may get put on offer, here.

I'd be most interested in the "Crew" shirt - were it to become
    available.

That's the one I've got - although it's a tad tight on me now. Must have
shrunk in the wash - yeah, that's it.

Well SP got all our hopes up by saying she'd do 'em but then couldn't,
    so I said I'd do 'em, although I'd originally said I couldn't 'cos I
didn't have time. As it turns out I was right in the first place
because I've been busy and have done bog all about it.

<space left for name calling in follow ups>

... so I guess we have no-one public spirited enough to produce them,
    unless you'd like to volunteer?

Not wanting to volunteer or anything, but has anyone thought of
    www.printedclothing.com

Works out at £13 for a t-shirt with the UKRM 'Beans' logo on the front
and FOYRNB printed on the back.

Don't know if there's a discount for bulk orders, though.

There's no shortage of places who will print them (and for much less
than £13ea), but what's missing is someone who will actually
co-ordinate the requirements, collect the cash, place the order and
    distribute the goods.

  18. Excellente, thanks for that. Now for the DIY experimentation.
Just spoke to Gasman and he knows a T-Shirt printer so he's checking it out
    etc.

    If all goes well the next questions are;

    1. Would anybody want a 'beans' t-shirt. If so, of which design ie. beans on
back only, or small beans of rhs front with TeamUKRM/FOYRNB on back or other
    maybe.

At EOSM Nigel was wearing a shirt with the small logo on the front but I'm
sure it was a polo shirt. Have I got it right?

    2. Who wants a shite Pepsi/Sonic jobby of the originally chosen style or
alternative to be debated. Anybody know the original quantities required of
    this design?

If quantities are small I could be persuaded to do them the DIY way although I
havent got an inkjet printer for the transfer paper. Colour Lasers don't work
coz of the temp ( At least this way you can have exactly the design you
    want!

    Over to you.

  19. I've got the artwork now thanks but may want to check out the size of the logo
if I end up making my own. Cheers.
