  2. Obviously, it didn't go on mainstream release here, so I had to
steal/borrow/"grab what the fuckers didn't protect properly" by
    torrent.

    I liked the film.

I might be up for that.

I'd post my clique membership application for to you, but, well, you
know how the post is these days...

It's on my list of things to start watching when there's ****-all else
    on.

OK - any general preference on location?

I'd need to check that the pub in question wasn't actually doing any
Children in Need related activities on the night.

ah - you only drink old man's beer don't you? That limits the choice
    of venue.

Not really. Whilst I do prefer "old man's beer", I am happy to
    occasionally partake of poncy drinks.

Having read your enthusiastic praise for "The Wire" I bought Series 1 on
DVD - and watched the whole thing in two days while suffering manflu.
Superb - the rest of them are on the shelf now and I'll be working
through them, Series 2 has me firmly in its grip now.

Your reference above to 'comedy swearing' brought it to mind, as the
scene with the two detectives re-investigating a murder scene (where the
girl was shot through the window), using only variations on the word
'****' for four minutes was suitably amusing - and very well done.
Ronnie Barker would have been proud.

Now I have in my head a kind of Four Weddings and a Funeral/The Wire
    mash-up. It's horrible.

I'll have the house to myself in 15 minutes, so I can see a way to get
eps 4&5 watched without interruption ;)

I started Series 1 which was on Virgin's Catch-up TV service. The
cunts removed it before I watched it to the end. Luckily, they
replaced it with Series 2, which also then got removed after I'd
watched about four episodes. I think it's back again now.

Still, I'll get it on DVD one day, but I have a stack of '24' to get
    through first.
