.... well, when I set off home in a few minutes I will be.

For the first time this year, I've worn my leathers to work, rather
than my HG Voyagers. And seemingly for the first time this year, it's
    pissing stair-rods.

What are the chances of that happening, eh?

Still pretty decent here, which is lucky as I've not bothered with
    a jacket at all today.
Is this "your" "new" catchphrase or something?

Not at all, it was just that the two posts demanded a similar
response. Ohoh! Here we go again ...

Tee hee, it was lovely for me on the way home half an hour ago; ah what a
joy to ride with that degree of leanage :)

Well, luckily I've not been able to get away sharpish tonight, now
it's much lighter rain. Still a bit too damp[1] for me to be getting
my knee down on the way home though. ;(

[1] Like, as if tarmac moistness has *anything* to do with it. ;)

The most chronically unfunny and annoying twat ever to appear on
television as a comedian, bar none.

I thought that for a long time, then saw him do a 50 minute standup set at
a local theatre recently. One of the best live comedy performances I have
    ever seen.

But he doesn't work on television - Harry Hill in 2 minute sketches
completely fails to recognise why people found him funny in the first
    place.

I haven't seen him live so I can't comment however his TV humour makes
me want to change the channel, are his videos any indication of his
    stage stylee?

In the past I would've agreed, but I enjoyed his recent "TV Burp"
series, perhaps I get his humour now.

Martian secured a place in history by writing:
Dunno, never seen one. But his brilliance as a stand-up rests in the way
he introduces a hundred lines of thought from the mundane to the surreal to
the incomprehensible and then winds them all together by the end of the
performance. I found it quite astonishing, particularly since a fair-chunk
of the 50 minutes was clearly spur of the moment stuff.

Perhaps I was lucky, but he had an audience of reserved suburbanites
absolutely weeping with laughter by the end of the performance. He's up
there with Eddie Izzard IMO. The only thing that's made me laugh anywhere
near as much in the last year was Dave Gorman's Googlewhack show. Believe
he's touring that again as it was so successful, if anyone gets the chance
    it's an absolute must.

He had a series on the radio some years ago which was pretty good but, as
you say, the 2 minute television format just makes him dull.

No, he makes it on to a completely different list, "loathsome individual".
