Pedrosa nixes record with 4 minutes or so to go, only one to do it in under
1'22. Hayden then gets himself 2nd spot, but out of nowhere Roberts comes in
to claim second, the only rider other than Pedrosa to come in under 1'22.

With Pedrosa, Roberts and Hayden up front, Nakano, and a gutsy convalescent
duo of Capirossi and Melandri following are in second row.

Gibernau, Stoner (who lead earlier on) and Hopkins follow in third.

Rossi over a second off Pedrosa's pace, barely faster than Checa, and
Edwards barely ahead of another convalescent rider that may not even start,
Elias. The Yamahas are not looking good on q tires at all.

Hayden and Pedrosa likely podium candidates. Perhaps Melandri will make it
    an all Honda podium?

Pedrosa had a bad fall earlier as well so mucho respect for the pole
    position.
should be a cracker with the Repsol boy's fighting to stamp authority
    in the
team as well as the championship.
If Ped beats NH tomorrow,I think it will hurt Nicky psychologically
    big time.
And surely this time no podium for Rossi
