Seeing the date these changes were supposed to be coming into effect, I thought it was a joke - Still might be, you know those crazy Germans! 10 Euros a year doesn't sound too bad. Ditto.
It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "Dr Zoidberg" Which would absolutely wonderful if it fuckin' worked. -- Dave GS 850 x2 / SE 6a SbS#6 DIAABTCOD#16 APOSTLE#6 FUB#3 FUB KotL OSOS#12? UKRMMA#19 COSOC#10
Grimly Curmudgeon wrote It works fine. I am set up here to get news from my ISP and the GS, in the last two years my free server has delivered news quickly and efficiently which is a kin sight more than I can say about the one I pay for.
Oooh bugger. I knew we were letting far to many people know about it. Which is what they're banking on, of course. It goes very much against the grain but I suspect I will too.

I was going to sign up but I didn't like the look of the page so didn't. Call me weird, but the look of the page tells me not everything will go smoothly.
Thanks for the info. Done. Worth the money IMO and at least it'll be the University that gets the dosh. After all the years I've used it, it's the least I can do to show my thanks for a great service. After all, it is peanuts to pay.
Against the grain of what? Paying money for decent service? In the 3 years I've used it, it's gone down twice. For 60p a month I think it's a bloody bargain.
You have to click on to open and close each of the documents it asks you to confirm as having read before ticking the boxes and pressing the register button.
Safely paid up. The first year is 410 days, which I assume [1] takes me up to 1th (sic) April 2006. [1] Without doing the arithmetic.

Just try doing it ten times over while you gradually reduce your security by allowing third-party cookies, pop-ups, third-party redirections etc etc. In email dialogue with them. As if opening a document proves you've read it, let alone understood it. <sigh>
You know why, don't you? It's because I started using it last week! That's my fuckin' luck, innit! How long will it stay at 10 EUR?
I cannot think of anything else I use IRL which works that well and that consistently for anywhere near that price. Except for the small child that cleans my chimney[1]. [1] Not a euphemism.
Just paying money. Oh aye, I've also used it for several years with no probs. Not 'alf as much of a bargain as nothing, though. And a tenner a year is 83p a month, not 60.
