German server down?

Anyone else been having problems with the german swerver? I've not been
able to get into it since Friday. Agent reports back: Ërror reported
by Winsock driver. No response from server(timeout) ( Error 10060) .

Outpuke gives: "

Bugger. Must be something to do with connecting over the work dial-up,
which was always fine on the old machine, but this new laptop might be
different. Dunno if I can work out how, though, and it works fine with
a local (at work) intranet connection.

And google groups sucks.

I got exactly that on Saturday, but something had nobbled nfilter. On
restarting it, it was fine.

 

Not had a problem with DFN for months now, and still working fine
tonight.

 

Well, it's sorted now, but I still don't understand it. When using the
dial-up I'm effectively cpnnected to our internal network, but at home
I hadn't chosen to make my network drives available to the laptop.
When I came into work this morning nothing had changed, until I hit
the 'work online' button after which everything was fine.

Thing is, I _know_ that there's nothing in the agent installation on
the network drives, as I copied it L, S & B from my previous laptop,
so it's still unexplaiuned.

But hey, whatever, I can get it to work now, at least.
