Genuine online competition - win motorcycle clothing

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Varnsverry, Feb 23, 2004.

  1. Hope I'm not breaching any forum rules in posting this, but Jofama Ab,
the Swedish motorcycle clothing company, is looking for humourous
captions to three posters that will form the basis of their marketing
camapign. The posters can be viewed at

    http://www.jofama.se/2004/index.htm

The second, third and fourth images from the top right ("city",
"hotel" and "golf") are the ones for which captions are being sought.

They contacted me this morning to see if I could provide some suitable
    one-liners, but I have convinced them - perhaps foolhardily :) - to
let the wit and talent endemic in ukrm have a go. The downside is that
this is all very last-minute, with press deadline on Wednesday
morning, so all submissions must be in by close of business on
    Tuesday.

Submissions should focus on Jofama's "alternative" style of promoting
their products, as depicted in the images, but with a positive sales
message. They must also be of a content that can be published! The
three entries that are selected for use will each receive the jacket
of their choice from the Jofama catalogue, infinite glory and
worldwide fame - or perhaps just one out of the three. :)

Please email your entries to me at the address in the message, with
"JOFAMA CAPTION COMPETITION" in the subject bar. In the event of
identical captions being submitted and selected as the winning text,
the first message received will be awarded the prize.

Usual competition rules apply and since I won't be the one who decides
who wins and who doesn't, bribes and death threats will be ignored.

  4. Oh yes! And its quirky (visit the web site for illustration).

Surprisingly few competition entries in thus far, but entries don't
    close until late today.
