Actually, they're not. It's one of those stereotypes that you yanks like to use to make yourselves feel "superior". "Canada - it's like the US but without the Americans."
One drone is good. Droning is fine, in my book. The Borders was uncomfortably dark with one Lycoming droning, and with one eye on the fuel gauge and the other on the invisible hills, the drone was very comforting.
