    THE LEGEND OF THE BELL
All bikers have lots of things to worry about every time they mount up.
Two of these things are Evil Road Spirits & gremlins. They are fiendish
little devils live on your bike. They love to ride. They also cause
most of your bike's malfunctions. These Spirits can't inhabit a bike
with the presence of a ride bell.
When the bell rings it traps them in the hallow of the bell. The
constant ring of the bell and the confined space drives them insane.
They lose their grip and eventually fall off.

If you pick up a bell of your own, the magic will work. But if your
bell was given to you by a friend or loved one, the power has been
doubled. So, if you have a friend that doesn't have a bell, why not be
the person to give them one? It's a nice feeling for the recipient to
know you care about their well being.

    people still beleive
    in these superstitions?

After just seeing a "Moto-Go Grip" ad on tv, it's obvious there are
rubes aplenty in this world. Why should the superstitious ones get
    off cheap?

  6. Untrue! I had a Bell and I'm sure it saved me from at least a
concussion, it might have saved my life. It was when I first started
riding. I hit some loose stuff in a corner and the bike just slid out
from under me. I fell on the street on my back and my Bell went
'CLUNK' against the pavement. That would have been my head!

They believe they have invisible friends who have superpowers.

They believe that their different ideas about their invisible
friends are worth killing and dying over.

They believe that Sadaam Hussein had biological and nuclear
    weapons.

They believe that Sadaam Hussein was behind the 9/11/01 attacks.

They believe that the War on Iraq is part of the War on Terror,
and will establish democracy and freedom in the Middle East.

They believe that they can retire on Social Security and
    Medicare.

They believe that the US Government will protect the interests
of the middle-class taxpayer by investing in education, jobs,
infrastructure, and industrial and technological leadership.

Mike.... you & I should get beers some time!

I had to read that 'invisible friends who have superpowers' three times
    before
I got it. I like that line so much I'm going to steal it without
    giving you credit
(Plagiarism is the HIGHEST form of flattery ;)

No wonder most of the retards on your forums are from the South.

The one I liked best was the guy with the rear looking video system. Swore
it had kept him from getting rear-ended three times in the month or so that
he had had it. How the hell have I survived this long without one?
