I have a TomTom Rider but the mounting cradle is fucked (wont charge
anymore, common problem) and I dont want anything more to do with
    TomTom, warranty run out anyway.
Anyway, I just bought a Garmin Zumo 550, great, much better thought out
and the mount is far better. But no headset, so I got the Scala Rider
    headset bundle.
Anyone have one of these headsets? How the **** do you clip it onto a
Shoei full face lid without it being obstructive when you move your head
left and right, it hangs down and is very obtrusive and doesn't look at
all secure, hits yer shoulder when ye turn your head.
And I couldn't get the volume up decently loud to hear it, christ the
T/T was better and that was shite. Reckon I'll just get earbuds from
Comet or whatever and plug them straight into the unit, **** the
    bluetooth.
    Anybody got comments then?
    Yes, I've got a fuckin' map ;-)

  2. We see posts almost on a daily basis saying that the cradle mount of
some piece of unnecessary poseur shite has broken so I have to say that
    they are most demonstrably not.

Perhaps now you will understand the value of it and I bet you can't wipe
your arse with your broken toy.

I manage fine without audio on the bike. The GPS is a handy aid to
navigation. I tend to read road signs and have a general awareness of where
I want to go. I only look at the GPS screen if there is a doubt as to the
direction I should be going. The 2610, in my case, is positioned on a RAM
mount so that I only need to take a cursory glance down much like checking
    a fuel gauge or summat.

If I don't know where I need to go then I will stop and interrogate the
device, just like using a map. I can't be doing with this riding around in
circles business, as some GPS owners seem wont to do should some
inconsiderate town planner build a new feature without getting Garmin's
    permission.

Yeah, I've been using the TomTom for ages without the audio, don't
really need it TBH. And I certainly don't want to hear the 'phone..or
    answer it.
But a bluetooth helmet, so I can listen to music/radio might be ok.
Undecided though, it will take away one of your senses. I suppose I
would want to know when somebodys all locked up behind me on the brakes
    or whatever.
