Garage heaters

I have two of those propane forced-air space heaters; big orange tubes that
look like jet engines on afterburners when running.

One is rated at 12-32kW, the other is 26-43kW, so they are both a little big
for the average garage but great for a larger workshop, barn, warehouse,
    etc.

They have been used, to dry out a church hall after a flood, but are clean
    and shiny and work fine.

When I get a round tuit they'll be going on ebay, starting @ £59.99 and
    £79.99.
New they would be around £200-250,

However I am open to offers from ukrmers, collection from south essex, or UR
    by arrangement.

  2. Hm. I have a FOAD late 1970s-era Goldring turntable (even has 22rpm),
Leak tuner/amp and huge Leak speakers. Don't suppose you fancy a swap?

I'll have the smaller one, £60 sounds good to me.

This is where the fun comes in.

I'll put out a UR request.

    <thinks>

If you point it ahead of the front tyre on a bike will it melt the snow / ice
quickly enough to get upto 30mph?

I'll watch the UR request thread.

There's a few here know the way to our place, inc. Loz.
We're east of Basildon between the A127 and A13.

Could get it as far as Brentwood (just off M25/A12) if that helps.

    Are you in MK?
We've been having those discussions here.

Just pointed forward at 30mph there'd be a good chance of a flame-out.
However, with a suitable deflector.... ;-)

Since the smaller one's been asked for, I would be interested in the
    other one

Lovely. A bit closer to me :)
    I am, yes.
Ok, a lightweight frame extending beyond the front of the bike that holds the
heater so that it is pointing backwards and down.

Then, the faster you go, the greater increase in afterburner effect.
(suitable adjustments to the gas feed required of course)

    Now the winter's over ?

so the answer's maybe, I'll have a think

    I'd forgotten about it

how much ? and where exactly ?

can take it to email - which is valid
